Museo Arqueológico Benahoarita

The Museo Arqueológico Benahoarita was opened on the 30th April 2007. The permanent exhibition hall is a tour for all those aspects that define life and culture of ancient inhabitants of La Palma using original archaeological pieces, explanatory panels, models, audiovisual media, etc. Its opening was a milestone for archaeology in the island. Since its opening, the museum has developed an intensive work in recovering La Palma archaeological material from private collections, other museums, universities, etc as well as on awareness, especially in schools, of the need to defend and protect La Palma aboriginal heritage legacy.
